Shaheen Afridi's injury, the decision to send the fast bowler to London for treatment

 Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to send in-fit fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi to London for knee treatment. The fast bowler will leave for London today.


According to a statement issued by the PCB on Monday, "The fast bowler's knee needs uninterrupted specialist care and the best facilities in this regard are available in London."

So for the improvement of the fast bowler, it has been decided to send him to London. The medical department will get feedback in this regard on a daily basis.

Shaheen Shah Afridi will be under the supervision of the PCB Advisory Panel in London. The panel includes Dr Imtiaz Ahmed and Dr Zafar Iqbal. Dr Imtiaz Ahmed has been the Head of Medical Services at Queens Park Rangers Football Club since 2016.

Dr Zafar has been the Head of Sports Medicine at Crystal Palace Football Club since 2015. He has also previously worked with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, Liverpool Football Club and Kent County Cricket Club.

PCB has expressed hope that the fast bowler will regain full fitness before the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, but the decision on his return to cricket will be taken by the PCB Medical Advisory Board. '

It may be remembered that Shaheen Shah Afridi is suffering from a PCL tear muscle injury and he was unfit during the first Test match against Sri Lanka.
